Living Stone Kirkers,
Yesterday and today are both momentous anniversaries. Yesterday was the 1 year anniversary of Charlie Kirk's assassination, and today is the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks. I want to exhort you to remember how deeply those moments shook our nation, and how both events turned people (at least for a time) to seek God in prayer. One thing the elders have been discussing recently, through reading a book together (To the Ends of the Earth by Michael Haykin) is how every great movement of reformation and revival is preceded by the saints of God devoting themselves to prayer. Jonathan Edwards appealed to the saints of New England to devote themselves to extraordinary, speedy, fervent, and continual prayer. We are in the midst of a profoundly dark time. This should drive all of us to private and public prayer.
 This Sunday I will be preaching at the DC service, pray that goes well. Here at home Mr. Samuel Davidson will be bringing the word. We are looking forward to having him preach for us this Sunday.

Door Knocking
Saturday, Sept 12
 Door knocking continues each Saturday, getting folks motivated to vote NO on Prop 1! This law would reintroduce abortion to Idaho in a more extreme way than even California. We must work to defeat this thing.

Monthly Potluck
Join us for our monthly potluck right after the service! We will meet at Ghormley Park. There's a playground, pickleball courts, and plenty of space for yard games. Bring chairs & blankets for seating. This month we will have BREAKFAST/BRUNCH. Join us as we eat together, fellowship, and sing psalms. We hope to see you there!

As a young couple transitions from courtship, to engagement, to the wedding day, it might begin to dawn upon them, "These are the people I will spend my holidays with." If everyone is walking in Christian charity, that should be a joyful thought. If not, it'll be like swallowing a ghost pepper whole.

You'll have noticed that we rearranged the seats last Sunday. This gets us a bit more elbow room. Our goal is to stay in one service as long as possible. So, make sure to keep sitting as efficiently as possible, be warm and welcoming to having folks sit close together. Act like you love one another, in other words! With that, have a wonderful weekend.
