Friday Note from Pastor Ben (10/16/26)

A Note from Pastor Ben — Living Stone Reformed Church

Living Stone Kirkers,

I might sound like a broken record, but I really want to exhort you to find ways to throw yourself into the fray against Prop 1. We have a few weeks left until election day, and now is the time to put into action all that we say we believe about being pro-life. If Prop 1 passes we will, as a state, have deliberately disobeyed God's Word. This will be a corporate sin, even if we as individuals vote against it. A people cannot live under God's blessing while putting up with child slaughter. This really is a big deal.

On that front, I want to encourage you to find some time to knock on doors, wave some signs, join a phone bank to call voters, drive people to polling places, post about it on social media, and above all: pray, pray, pray. The prayers of the saints are mighty. So, I encourage you to devote yourself and your family to prayer that this bill would not only be defeated but it would be figuratively drenched in lighter fluid, burned to ashes, and then launched into a black hole.

I would be remiss if I didn't also acknowledge and pay honor to Nathan Warner, who has been exemplary in this effort. He wouldn't want to draw attention to it, so I will: he has knocked on over 1800 doors so far. Just remarkable. The Bible tells us to give honor to whom honor is due and Nathan deserves our thanks and gratitude. Perhaps the best way to say thanks is to make some time to join him and others in knocking on doors to get out complacent voters.

The weather this weekend is perfect for walking through some north Idaho neighborhoods! Looking forward to worshipping with you all this Lord's Day. Have a blessed weekend.

For His renown,

Pastor Ben
