Friday Note from Pastor Ben (11/06/26)

A Note from Pastor Ben — Living Stone Reformed Church

Living Stone Kirkers,

I want to begin by once more expressing gratitude to the Lord for you all. Particularly in your efforts to defeat Prop 1 you show yourselves diligent, faithful, and courageous. Special thanks, which are dangerous because you always forget someone, go to Nathan Warner and Kelsie Zornes for their tireless efforts to organize and lead the charge of door-knocking (over 3700 doors for Mr. Warner) and sign waving. Well done, and praise the Lord for His kindness in giving us the victory.

One of the more important principles of warfare is to pursue your enemies after you triumph. To that end, we now need to pivot to supporting the effort by the IFPC and others to get an equal protection bill passed by the Idaho Legislature.

This Sunday, I will be beginning a short series called "Comfort in the Chaos" through the OT book of Nahum. This really will be timely as Nahum lived in a moment when the tyrannical power of Assyria seemed unstoppable, but he looked it in the face and declared the doom of that wicked empire. I think it will be quite fitting for our current moment.

For His renown,

Pastor Ben
